A small shop at the foot of the mountains.

Varde is based in an old storehouse in Lom, right between the Jotunheimen, Reinheimen and Breheimen mountains.

We started because we missed outdoor clothing that lasted. Not one season, but ten. That is why we make our garments in Norwegian wool, in small batches, with people we know – and why we repair them when they need it.

How we work

• The wool comes from Norwegian sheep and is spun in Western Norway.
• We make small batches, and restock when they sell out.
• We have used everything we sell ourselves – in all kinds of weather.
