Privacy
Varde Turutstyr AS (org. no. 999 999 999) is the data controller for the personal data we process about you as a customer.
What we process, and why
- Orders: name, address, e-mail, phone, what you bought and the payment status. We need this to fulfil our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Accounting: sales records are kept for five years under the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Enquiries: when you write to us, we use your name, e-mail address and message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Back-in-stock notice: your e-mail address is used only for that one notice and deleted afterwards (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)).
We never sell information about you, and we do not send marketing unless you have asked for it.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Shopify – our shop system: checkout, orders and payment.
- The payment providers you choose at checkout (Visa, Mastercard, Vipps, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay).
- Posten / Bring – receives your name, address and phone number to deliver the parcel.
- Agentas – operates the website and the contact form for us.
- Cloudflare – delivers the web pages. As with any website, your IP address is logged briefly for security reasons.
Some of these providers may process data outside the EEA. When they do, it is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies
This website uses no cookies for analytics, tracking or marketing – which is why you see no cookie banner. Your cart is stored locally in your own browser so it does not disappear while you shop; it is not sent to us. When you go to checkout, Shopify uses the cookies that are necessary to complete the payment.
Your rights
You may ask for access to, correction of or deletion of the data we hold about you, ask us to restrict the processing, object to it, or receive your data (data portability). Write to hei@varde.example – we reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).
